Legal Question in Family Law in California
Hi,
I have a child support order from 13 years ago that was set for payments to be made on the 1st and 15th of each month. Since then my paydays have changed to every other week and this has caused some financial burden for me to meet the 1st and 15th of each month deadline. If I am still meeting my financial obligation each month but just changed the dates that I am sending the payments, am I in voilation of this child support order? My ex and I have made these payments without going through the court system or wage garnishmnet but if I decide to go that route, will the court adjust the dates the support is due to reflect my paydates?
Thank you for your assistance.

Yes, as long as each support payment due is received within the month that it is due absent a stipulation with the recipient of the payments for some other payment arrangement.
