Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi,

I filed for divorce by myself 4 years ago in 2006 but did not finish the second part. Is my case still

good or would I have to file all over again? This is in El Dorado County.

It should still be pending. Only way to know for sure is to check with the court clerk's office.

You will have to check with the clerk's office at the courthouse to determine whether the case has been dismissed or not. If it has been dismissed, you will most likely have to refile. I'm not sure what you refer to as the second part. If your spouse filed a response, and the court terminated status, the court may have reserved jurisdiction over remaining issues. If this happened, then you will not have to refile.
