If a doctor has put someone on hospice, can the husband or wife simply ask them to leave and get their own home health service?

Someone has been put in a hospice, meaning they are terminal and the other spouse is making demands? Anyone can ask for anything, the other spouse can't dictate the health care terms. However, if the ill spouse has given the other a durable power of attorney over healthcare, that spouse will make final decisions about extraordinary healthcare when the ill spouse can is no longer competent to make a decision.
