Legal Question in Family Law in California

while in the hospital, my father-in-law (92) signed a medical power of attorney to his son.. he is now home but his son has taken away his transportation and has redirected his mail to his home and utlimately taken over the estate and finances. there is nothing mentally wrong with him and he has objected to these actions by his son but to no avail. can he revoke the power of attorney without an attorney and/or his son's advanced knowledge? if so, please give me direction.

thank you.

Your father-in-law is a victim of elder financial abuse. If you let me know what county he lives in, I can direct you to the appropriate agencies to help him.
