Legal Question in Family Law in California

house granted to ex business granted to me

In my divorce in 2002, we did our divorce oursleves, without going to court. In the agreement she got the house and I got the business. The business was already doing horribly financialy that I filed bankruptsy on it in 2003. On the other hand she got the house free and clear, but the house is my name only and has not and will not be refied into her name due to bad credit and a lack of requesting it in the original cort document. Is there anyway that this can be ammended to where the house can be brought back up as an issue and awarded 50/50 either with selling and splitting the proceeds or her having to purchase the remainder from me? I am at a dead end?

Probably not, however, would be willing to look at it. Fee would be on hourly basis plus costs.

It appears that you made a deal with your ex. The fact that it turned out to be a bad deal may be of little consequence. This situation reinforces the idea that you should always have an attorney when dealing with these family law matters. Based upon the information provided, I believe that you may have great difficulty getting 50% of the value of the house at this time. In order to have any chance of success you really must have an attorney.
