Legal Question in Family Law in California

Husban Walked out Sole Provider for Family Left us with nothing

My husband walked out on us and said he was never coming back that he wants a divorce. I have two children and we own our home with about 200,000.00 in equity. He makes about 65,000.00 a year he left us with a negative amount in the bank. I have no idea what to do first how to protect myself and my children and how to pay the bills that are due now. PGE gave 15 day notice. He took all cash. What should I do in this situation?

You should immediately contact an attorney. Some attorneys will take your case with a note and deed of trust on the house to secure their fee. You should also contact PG&E regarding your situation and request some additional time to pay. If necessary you can apply for emergency aid from the county. Then file for divorce and a OSC for support. This can be done quickly, and you may even get an order for temporary support prior to a hearing.
