If my husband has and attorney and I don't might represent myself in my divorce?

Sure, but his attorney doesn't have your best interests in mind, because you are not his or her client. But if you want to save a few dollars now, to potentially lose more in the future, I understand.

You are free to represent yourself, but the chances that you will get stomped on are very high, both because of the complexity of the law and procedure, and because it is emotionally impossible to be objective and effective. I am a Family Law attorney, and even I hire a colleague to represent me when child custody or support adjustments come up with my ex.
