Legal Question in Family Law in California

If Husband is a Bigamist, Am I 50% liable for car accident?

I recently found out that my husband of 7 years was married 13 years ago and did not divorce his wife. In October 1997, he was in a car accident registered to us both, and was uninsured. Am I in any way responsible for the damages to the other car, considering I was not in the car, nor were we legally married at the time?

First off you need to file for an annulment ASAP!! Secondly, the driver of a car is normally the one held liable, but an owner who is not driving a vehicle can be held liable for up to $15,000 in damages. In cases of negligent entrustment you could be held totally liable. Your first move is to file for an annulment. I can help.
