Husband is calling his friends that I hit him not the case I still live in same residence our condo what kind of protection can I get from this he is the one who drinks smokes chews and is a law officer he also has been abusive verbally emotionally and two instances physically

Maybe you should think about moving. I bet when he was physically abusive you did not call the police, so although you may get able to document the abuse, it will be more difficult. You can get a temporary protective order... Drinking, smoking, and chewing are going to be pretty much irrelevant. You really need an attorney
