Legal Question in Family Law in California
I and my husband are US citizen and we are currently living in Europe. I would like to send our 10 year old daughter to live in US with my parents (also US citizens). I am planing for her to stay there for 3 years so she can go to school there. What type of documentation should I provide to make this legal, to allow my parents make decisions in her school life, in case she needs to see a doctor, to travel with her back to Europe?

You will need to do a revocable Power of Attorney and list these powers in the document and have it notarized. Leave the original with yoru parents and keep a copy for yourself.
I would recommend you use a full guardianship. The last thing you want is for your power of attorney not to cover some unforseen event and leave your parents powerless to act. Powers of attorney are much better suited to business, or to specific personal decisions, such as health care choices if you are incapacitated.
