Legal Question in Family Law in California

my husband is a coke addict he has disappeared for over a week and i have only seen/spoke to him 5 times in the last month. I am certain he is doing drugs again i want to change the locks on our rental house (with land lords concent ofcourse) and take him off the rental agreement. Can i do this and how do i do this? I am worried about my safety and the safety of my cats

The best option is to get a restraining order allowing you to have sole occupancy of the house.
