Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband and i divorced in 1993/4? we had incurred a mutual debt and it was written into our agreement that h e was responsible for $100,000.00 of the debt. he paid me 300 to 400 a month for a year or so and then stopped. i would like to know how i can collect what is owed me. i have recently found that he has remarried to the woman he was seeing at the time. regardless, i now have more information on his whereabouts and need to retain an attorney to find out how i can go about collecting this outstanding debt. that type of attorney would handle this kind of case?

thank y0u.

You need to speak to an attorney about enforcing the marital judgment. Some of its terms may have expired since this is 16 years old. If you incurred the debt you would have been responsible for it with the creditor, and it is not clear whether you satisfied the debt, or it became time barred under the statute of limitations.
