Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband filed for divorce and I was served July 20, 2012. I am preparing to respond but we just received a notice in the mail he failed to pay the filing fees. Does the filing still stand if he hasn't paid the fees. I don't want the divorce and we are trying to save our marriage. Thank you for your assistance.

Actually if he does not pay the fees within a period of time, or qualify for a fee waiver, his filing will be dismissed. But that alone will not save your marriage.
