Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband and I filled for divorce over a year ago. We then decided to try and work it out without the attorney's and I let mine go, he kept his although has not spoken to him since December. We have not had much success and I am thinking of retaining a new Attorney to help finish up what we can not agree on. My question is What happen's to the support agreement that is already in place, or the divorce it's self that has already been filed for with the court's. Is everything still the same or do we start over does he need to be served all over again and thing's need to be re-filed? There are no children and we filed on August 11th 2009 and 9. We would have been married 10 years on the 4th of March 2010, does that make any difference, the 10 year mark I mean I've heard that it does.

Thank you,

Danielle D.

As long as the original proceeding was not dismissed you may just re-start where you left off. But it is a good idea to hire an attorney to assist you in the process.
