my husband gave our car to his child, is there anything I can do about it

If this car was acquired during the marriage with earnings, then the vehicle is community and you are entitled to 1/2 it's value. If you are contemplating divorce, make a record of the fact you did not agree with this gift and expect to be compensated for 1/2 it's value. When you file the divorce papers, you should request reimbursement for 1/2 of it's value.

I would just add, that unless it was a gift of community property in anticipation of divorce, either spouse can give away community property without recourse.
