Legal Question in Family Law in California

Husband left town !!

My friend in C.A. wants to file for Divorce. There are no Children with this man. He had stolen money and left maybe to A.Z. she has called family of his and they say they don't know where he is. She just wants her right to go on with her life there is no spousel support or child support. Just wants to go on. Can she do this if he is not there to sign.She has no set phone, address, no way to serve. Plus has two children and can't afford to get a lawyer I have done several types of basic forms. E.T.C. Does she have to wait to get remarried E.T.C. if he just left she wants nothing but the divorce. Thank You.

She needs more help than is available over the internet. She should seek the assistance from a legal clinic or legal aid.
