Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband owned our home for 9 years before we were married. He added my name to the Title and Grant Deed as Joint Tenants about a year after we were married. We have been married for almost 18 years and are now in the process of a divorce. Is our home considered community property to be divided equally?

There is a presumption that it is communi property, but it is a rebuttable presumption. It is unlikely that it will be split exactly 50/50. You will need to consult an attorney in person to sort it out.
