Legal Question in Family Law in California

Husband threatens wife to sign deal on child support

My sister and her husband decided to get a divorce after 4 years of misery. They have 2 small kids. The husband, during the recent argument, told her that he wants to walk away free and clear, he does not want to pay any alimony, child support and does not want to see the kids anymore. He threatens her that if she does not sign the agreement, he will reveal her bad behaviors (not criminal, only morally bad) she encountered 7 years ago when they were in school together to the community to publicly make her ashamed. She owns a professional business in a well respected community, she is scared that she will not have any more customers.

Is this a crime? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Your sister needs to retain an attorney and approach this matter legally. She should not give into his wild demands.
