Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband tricked me to signing quit claim on our condo he said we would not get it due to my bad credit. Now he is trying to pull equity because I asked for divorce. I am married 6 years to a cop. He has played me dirty all along I live in San Bernardino county . We have one child he will play me dirty and he said so. He said this is not my condo so if I divorce I can live under bridge. I am unemployed no funds nothing can he really do this I am afraid he will wipe me out due to he says he knows people and his line of work

Whether he knows people or not, whether he is a cop or not, the law regards community property the same. It does not matter whose name is on the property, California Community property is California Community property. If he tries to do something with the property after a divorce summons is served, he will violate the court order. If you have no money, there may be spousal support, if you have no money and he thinks he will be cute by hiring an attorney and thinking you won't have one, you may be entitled to attorneys fees. You just need to be careful he does not make stuff up since he knows a little about the law. If he tries to play dirty, it will cost him money. If he gets too dirty, it will cost him his career. You need to arrange for an attorney r at least consult with one.
