Legal Question in Family Law in California
My husband and I will be married 4 years this July. I would like to file for an annulment because of ongoing issues such as his addiction to marijuana and refusal to quit or seek professional help. He quit his job 4 months after we married and has had 2 very short jobs since then. One job he worked for 2 weeks, the other was less than 3 months. He has medical issues also but his doctor(s) have told him that these problems do not affect his ability to work. He has been told that he needs to lose weight, excercise to promote healthy circulation and to seek mental therapy because he suffers from depression. I care deeply for this man and have done all I can to help him but I can no longer tolerate his marijuana use.
My question is support. I work two jobs to support us and am finally on my feet after filing joint bankruptcy 2 years ago. I heard that if a marriage is annulled or ended before it reaches five years, then both parties can walk away with the responsibility of support. Is this true?
Thank you,

You cannot annull your marriage unless it was invalid or illegal to begin with.
