Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband is out of work and is receiving unemployment benefits which the government takes a portion of that income for child support. We have a checking acount together and recently they pulled out money becuase the money they are taking doesn't suffice what he needs to pay a month. Can they come after my paycheck for the difference?

No, they cannot come after your paycheck.

But, I would suggest you have a separate account, which he is not on.

Also, your husband needs to go back into court to modify the order to something based upon his current actual income.

They can't take your paycheck if you have it deposited into an account in your name, in which your husband has no withdrawal rights.
