Ex husband's Social Security

I hope I have the right area. My parents have been divorced for many years. My father has sinced remarried. Is my mother entitled to getting a percentage of my father's social security when it comes time to him filing for retirement? I think it may have been stated in their divorce decree.

I believe that if your mother does not qualify for social security on her own that she may still get a benefit based on an exspouse. You should either go to their website or call the local office. I have always found them to be very helpful.
