Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband's son is a sophomore in high school and is involved in extracurricular activities. These activities are expensive - to the tune of about $3,000 a year. My husband was never married to his son's mother but there is a court order in place for child support, etc. This court order stipulates that my husband pay child support and one-half of any out of pocket expenses for medical or dental care. My stepson's mom wants my husband to pay half of the above $3,000 which we are ill-prepared to pay. What recourse do we have?

If it's not in the court order, you don't have to pay it. http://www.secondwivesclub.com
