my ex husbend just gave me full legal and full sole custody of my 4 kids and i want to take there dads last name off and give them mine mhat do i do

File a petition (NC- 100 and subs) for a change of name for the children. If father joins with you in signing the petition, process is relatively simple. If he doesn't then he will need to be served with notice of the name change so that he has an opportunity to contest. There are a lot of requirements for a name change e.g. newspaper publication.
