I�m hust beginning preproceedings in my Divorce,

Which at this point seems to be looking very unfavorable to me,

regarding some property invinveststments Made prio to our marriage,

can and to what extent can bankruptcy help me??

Your question provides nothing for us to go on as far as what the "unfavorable" aspect of this investment is. Without that information there is no way to tell you anything about how bankruptcy might be useful if at all. I can tell you that bankruptcy will do absolutely nothing to protect you from community property law, or from child and spousal support obligations. The bankruptcy courts apply California community property law to determine what would belong to the bankrupt party and what belongs to the spouse. Family support obligations, including back support, are completely exempt from the bankruptcy discharge.
