If there are move away issues in a child custody matter, you will need to file a motion with the court to have the court decide whether you are allowed to move away and secondly how will the parties determine the visitation arrangements. If you can make agreements then your case would be quickly resolved, but if not then you will need to let it up to the judge to decide.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
