Legal Question in Family Law in California
I have no idea where my ex husband has filed for divorce and I am in need to know I have no way of contacting him and I signed the papers back in august of 2012. I read on the papers that 6 months after being signed it is up to the judge whether or not to finalize the divorce. I am aware if I were to get married and I am still married, it'd be a bunch of bogus. I need answers. please

Didn't you keep a copy of the papers? You may want to check the court index for the Superior Court in the county where you live. Some counties have this online, and some you have to go in person. Your zip code is for Los Angeles County, so if you think the papers were filed in Los Angeles County, you are going to have to go in person and check the index with the clerk's at the courthouse nearest you.
