Is is illegal to date a underage girl

I am 21 years old and live in the state of california and a 16 year old girl happend to kiss me and there were tounges involved so is it illegal for me to date somebody that is that young in california? I have no plans to have sex with her, but is french kissing her and holding hands and hugs illegal as well?

I strongly suggest that you wait until she is 18. All you have to do is touch her inappropriately and you can become a registered sex offender. Since she is young, she can change a lot in the next two years. However, should you not follow the advice of the attorneys, please keep my number for future reference. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

no but it will lead to something illegal. it's best to stay far away.
