Legal Question in Family Law in California

Income expense declaration

I have full custody of my daughter with no visitation to my ex wife. She just got out of jail and is seekeing custody. She got an attorney and is now seeking legal fees to be covered by myself. I received a request for an income expense declaration and I would rather not send all my info to her. I dont have a problem giving it to the judge in court. Is it the law to send this info to the attorney?

Re: Income expense declaration

An income and expense declaration is required to be exchanged in anylegal proceeding. That is the law.

Always consult with a lawyer in your area prior to making legal decisions. Good luck!

Re: Income expense declaration

You might send the income and expense declaration along with your motion that your ex begin paying you child support. However, before you do anything you should have a consultation with an attorney who can give you insight into what the outcome would be of any litigation. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
