Increasing child support payments, what can I do
I have a order to pay support (current and arrears). The amount regularly increase, even when my income doesn't. Is their anything that I can do immediately or over time, to prevent increases and/or reduce payments?

Without more information about the circumstances an answer to your question cannot be given. However, current child support is based on the following factors: 1. the gross amount of your income; 2. the gross amount of the primary custodial party; 3. the amount of time the child is actually with you for visitation. There are also some other factors, such as real property taxes, interest on the mortgage of your home, etc that reduce your incomes taxes paid.
In regard to the arrears ten percent interest is added to the amount that is due and must be paid before the principal amount is reduced. For every $12,000 you owe in arrears you would have to pay $100 per month just to pay the interest that is accruing. If you paid less the amount owed would increas each month.

You need to file an Order to Show Cause for modification of the undrlying order.
