Legal Question in Family Law in California

Inheritance

Hi, there,

I have a brother-in-law who died of heart attack recently.

He was adopted by a couple when he was 13 of age and still carries their last name. My brother-in-law finished his B.S. degree and moved back to his own parents.

His biological parents put a lot of their propertyies under my brother-in-law's name. Can his foster parents inherited his fortune ? How can his biological parents inherited his fortune ?

Thank you very much for your answers.

Tim

Re: Inheritance

This is a probate question not a family law question. The issues raised are probate questions not not family law.
