Legal Question in Family Law in California

inheritance in divorce

My husband received a few inheritances over our 30 year marriage. He bought properties with the money and my name is also on the deeds. In a divorce, is he entitled to his inheritance back even though he invested it in a joint venture?

Re: inheritance in divorce

Generally he would be entitled to reimbursement of any separate funds (inheretance) that he put into the property. The community would be entitled to the increase in value of the property. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
