Legal Question in Family Law in California

Inheritance

My husband and I have 2 small children and have been married for 15 years - My husband has a 22 year old daughter, which was the product of a 1-night stand. If anything happened to my husband, would she have a legal right to the money he will leave behind? (ie: sale of property, savings, etc) ?

Re: Inheritance

That depends. Does you husband have a will or trust? How is title to the property held? Do your accounts have a beneficiary designation? If he has assets that must be probated and he doesn't have a will, then all of his natural children will receive a share, along with you.
