Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi my name is jennifer peevey and i am a unmarried mother,I have a 2 and a half year old son,Me and his father split up but still remained in contact. Well i moved back to sacramento where im from into my parents house. Jacob (my sons Father) still remains in redding. after 2 years i felt really bad because Jacob never had a way to come see our son due to being unemployed and living 2 hours away, well he got in contact with his aunt and she said she would give him a ride to sacramento. Jacob has never gave me any reason ever to not trust him,so i told him to tell his aunt to come pick up our son to visit for 2 weeks. after the first visit went great and he brought jaylin back right on time we kept our deal every 2 weeks.Only this time (the 4th time i beileve).I was sick so i thought it would be best if our son remained in redding with his dad while i was in the er and fighting my sickness.After about a week i told him i was ready to come get jaylin.He was okay with it. but when it came down to it He messaged me and asked me if i would come up and stay to be a family with him and our son because he really loves me.After i told him thats not something i wanted to do because i dont have those kind of feelings towards Jacob anymore,He told me that i cannot get my son back. I didint beileve him and thought it was just threats so my brother gave me a ride to redding to pick him up.I told jacob i was on my way and he told me he was leaving the house. well when i got there the lights were off and no one answered the door.my brother saw his dad peeking out the window.i felt sick to my stomache because i didint expect that. so i text jacob and he told me that im not getting my son back on that night and that he will see me tomarrow.well when tomarrow came i went to there house again and as soon as i knocked and he asked who it was and i told him, his dad starting going off and saying your not gonna see him so why are you here (without opening the door). go away.!!

when my son tried to look out the window jacob locked him in the bedroom so he couldnt see me,i was very sad and shocked that they wouldnt even let me see him. and i was a bit confused because everything was going great with our deal.I never caused anything to make jacob not let me see my son,So basically the fact that i wouldnt be with him upset him and he wont let me see my son. my son has all his medical and everything here also a doctors appt for his shots and physical.I know the best thing to do is to go to court.Which i have just received all the files for but have not turned them in yet because im still completeing them. But my question to you is, Is there anything i can do to get temporary custody while our custody court case is being processed so i can get his shots and physical done?
