Legal Question in Family Law in California

Joint Tenants or Spouse?

My husband and I started divorce proceedings in 1991. During the process, we reconciled and dismissed (I thought) the case. Several years later, we purchased a home. Very long strory short - I now want to divorce, sell the house, split the profits and move on. Unraveling paperwork led to the discovery that we are, in fact, divorced; judgment entered in 1992. (He doesn't know this yet - I don't want to give him leverage to be difficult about selling.) What and how do I proceed???

Re: Joint Tenants or Spouse?

You need to contact an attorney. When a person has a good faith belief that they are in a legal marriage, that person is treated as though there was a valid marriage.
