Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can a judgement be entered before Discovery is complete

I am wondering if a judgement on a single issue of a Marital Settlement agreement can be entered in favor of one party while discovery is incomplete and motion to compel is pending? Can you give me a case law reference point? I believe this is a no brainer but never the less it was done.

You can file a motion to separate the issue of status of the marriage from all other issues and obtain a dissolution of the marriage. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
