What happens if an Order After Hearing is not filed after a judgment in a custody case in California is given? The judgment in question was awarded in 2004. Is the judgment valid?

The judgment is valid. the problem is without a written order being filed, is that there is no written record of the order and it will be difficult to enforce it.
