Legal Question in Family Law in California
Do judges ever read our files
Do Judges ever read our files.
I have been to court 11 times to settle a divorce. The judge for the last 7 hearings really seems like she never reads the file. I would have to swear to it. This case keeps dragging on and on. And on and on and on and on.
It was a 1 mo. marraige and my x
seems to enjoy controlling me through the court system by lying about this and that and we have to keep going back to court.
I think if a judge read our file. He or she would say whats going on here when will this end?
But I have found out in past hearings that the Judge in my case has not looked at my thick file.

They do read the files. If you are unhappy with the decisions you should seek representation. If you have an attorney then perhaps you should change attorney's to one with more experience. Contact me directly 20 years experience.

Well, don't tell anyone that I said this, but I suspect that some of the judges don't read the files.
What I don't understand is why your case is dragging on so long over a 1 month marriage. Is there a child involved?
It's not uncommon for a case to drag on continuance after continuance. I had a client fly in from Hawaii and the case was continued because the court was too busy, even though we had specially set the date because she was flying in specifically for this hearing.
