Legal Question in Family Law in California

Juvenile Records sealed

My daughter is currently studying to be a nurse, she has to do an internship at a hospital that requires a background check.

Recently she needed to go to court over a custody issue and the attorney brought up her juvenile record which happened when she was 15, she is now 26. Don't they automatically seal Juvenile records.

Re: Juvenile Records sealed

You should talk to your attorney about having the information about your juvenile record sealed or removed from the court file. Then ask how he obtained your juvenile record. Juvenile records are not public records and can be reviewed only by the juvenile, parents of the juvenile and police officers.

Re: Juvenile Records sealed

She needs to discuss this with her attorney. If she starts making another record of what happened anyone can get it.
