Legal Question in Family Law in California

Keeping money from lazy husband

My husband and I have been married for 10+ years, we have 3 children. I am and have been the main breadwinner for years. He has basically given up. I need to plan an escape route. Is there any place/way I can ''hide'' some money? I'm worried he will take 1/2 and I'm left struggling. What do I do to financially protect myself?

In a dissolution you are required to disclose all assets, including those that you have hidden. There are penalties for non-disclosure. You should obtain a consultation with a family law attorney who can help you with an "escape plan." Good Luck, Pat McCrary
