Legal Question in Family Law in California

My kids dad has custody. My daughter has been staying with me for over a year now. He pick her up For a visit now he won't give her back to me. Can I go pick her up

If there is a court ordered visitation plan you may insist that it be followed. Alternatively you may go into court and either ask for custody or for a visitation plan.

If the court order says she stays with him, you cannot do anything legally except go into court and ask that the order be changed based on the past year becoming the normal custody arrangement that is best for her.
