Legal Question in Family Law in California

I havent seen my kids since the were little. i know nothing about them. 1 is already in her teens and the other 2 are almost there. can i sign my rights over in court?

Not necessarily. Usually the court will only allow that if someone is going to adopt them, such as in a step-parent adoption. Otherwise, you are still on the hook financially.

Mr. Besser is correct. You cannot simply sign away your parental rights because you don't want to pay support. There needs to be someone ready and willing to step into your parental shoes.
