Legal Question in Family Law in California
kinship adoption
My ex-husband and I have custody of our grandsons. We would like to terminate the parents rights. How do we do this. The father of the boys has only seen them maybe twice this year. My daughter is now wanted by the police for violation of her probation and is most likely on her way to prison. We have had custody since 11/1/05. She has only seen them maybe two or three times this year. They are both on drugs and running the streets. If we adopt we loose the finanicial aid we do receive from the state for the boys for child care, but we don't want to take the chance that they can ever come back in to mess these boys up again.
