Legal Question in Family Law in California

What is the law in California regarding custody of a breastfeeding newborn infant? Is it possible that the father and his girlfriend could be awarded 50% custody. How does "the best interest of the child" figure into this? There is no way this can be good for a newborn baby, not even knowing who it's real mother is.

Yes, you can have the custody. You have to file a Paternity case, and an Order to Show Cause seeking custody and/or visitation rights. It depends on the judge that how much time you will be allowed and even judge sees that you are doing it to avoid child support then he can restricts you from having a child custody.
