When a person files for a divorce when does it go final? is it when they file or when the other is served? Is it possible for you to send the law or ordinance on this subject?

You will need to submit a judgment, on a judicial form, to the court. If approved, judgment will then be "entered". The clerks will put in the date that the parties are made single again, which will be at least 6 months from the date the respondent was served or otherwise "appeared".
