Your son is facing a life altering issue. You need to consider hiring him an attorney. Otherwise he will likely be faced with using a public defender. Public defenders are overworked and under appreciated. I would be happy to discuss this issue with you regarding your son and what he is facing.

I am not a criminal attorney, but absolutely, you need a private attorney if you want your son home any time soon. The sad truth is that Public Defenders really are overworked, and they are under alot of pressure from a giant caseload to simply plead cases out. They have very little time to really look into your son's case and discuss it with him, and your son is looking at serious time for a serious offense.
