Lawyer forgets to show up to trial

What commenly happens if my lawyer forgets to inform me to show up for court & my lawyer forgets to show up as well?

The action of the court would depend upon the judge, the purpose of the appearance, and the local court attitude. The course of action to be taken would depend upon the action taken by the court. If the case was dismissed or a judgment entered, then immediate action must be taken to set aside the court order.
