Legal Question in Family Law in California

my lawyer

I am not happy with my lawyer , my husband and I are getting a divorce and this guy is robbing me! I was told to ask for substitution of attorney and to go pro-per. Please explain

I would not advise going "pro per" because that means you would be representing yourself. The best thing to do is to find another lawyer, and that new lawyer will draft a form called "Substitution of Attorney" whereby, after being signed by you, the new attorney and the old attorney, it is filed with the court showing the court that you have a new attorney.
