can he leave the country
ex husband wants to leave out of the country with our two children for the summer. he owes about 20,000 in child support. can he leave the country. if not how can he be stopped at the airport? meaning how will the airport know if he has a physical passport

1. He can't get on a plane to leave the country with the kids unless he has a court order that says he can, or a notarized letter from you giving him permission.
2. If you open an enforcement case with the county Dept of Child Support Services (free to you), they put a hold on his passport where he has I think more than $5,000 in arrears owing. So that'll stop him too.
