want to leave my husband

My husband and I have been marry for 21 years. He has created a lot of debt and he owes a lot. I am not on any of his bank accounts. Will I be responsible for his debt if we got a devoice?

If the debt benefitted the community, you will be responsible.

Generally yes you are responsible. However, with proper negotiation and examination, the debts can be allocated to him.
